Professional Qualifications
Clark qualified as a REPS Level 3, Advanced Personal Trainer in 2006. He studied with Future Fit Training, a member of the American Council of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
He is also a certified Spinning Instructor, qualifying through Johnny G - the original indoor group cycling class. Clark has run his own Spinning classes throughout the Central Belt of Scotland as well as freelancing at major Health Clubs.
Clark also holds qualifications in, studio based, exercise such as;
Functional Core Stabilty Gym Ball Training Circuit Training
Clark can train his clients at his well equipped home studio or at the clients own home. However, as an outdoor enthusiast, he is keen to promote the health benefits of training out of the gym environment to his clients. So you could find them running forest trails and mountain paths or mountain biking in some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland.
Clark is a certified Trail Cycle Leader, and now offers off-road cycle tours for groups of up to 8 people all over central and northern Scotland.
Whilst under his supervision, his clients safety is always paramount. He has comprehensive Public Liabilty Insurance and is fully qualified in Emergency First Aid in The Outdoors for the peace of mind for all.
Personal History / Hobbies
Clark has been a fitness enthusiast for over 30 years. He joined his first road cycling club as a 12 year old, and 30 years on he is still participating in bike events all over the country.
Whilst serving in the Armed Forces he represented his regiment at rugby, cycling and cross country running Once back in civilian life, he continued running, initially road running - competing in races up to marathon distance. Then his love of hills, and a sterner challenge, took him into trail and hill running. He has competed in many adventure and endurance races and continues to look for new challenges.
